ACA Measurement and Stability Compliance Software

By E. Wilson Clary posted 08-20-2014 08:58

For those employers with 50 or more employees do you have a recommendation on a software program that determines if any of their part time employees would be considered fulltime when taking into consideration the measurement and stability periods.?  Ideally this software would interface with existing payroll program.  Or would anyone know of a firm that provides this service to those 50 to 150 type size businesses/

Thanks, Nicole. I've looked at many but not this one.
Wilson, I think what you will find is there are not a whole lot of stand alone modules out there that are going to provide you what you will ultimately need for reporting purposes. Measuring and then reporting go hand in hand. One I know of that is stand alone, is a variable reporting calculator like Zywave has, and it's good. The employer is just using it to alert him/her when they have to offer coverage. Payroll and payroll deductions become a secondary function. I'm finding more employers quickly coming to the conclusion that the payroll vendor or internal payroll software they use won't be able t provide reporting. In that instance, there are many payroll vendors who can handle all of it. The employer just has to do a JE for payroll entries into their existing accounting software. Infinisource has an excellent and an extremely affordable option compared to more limited competitors I have reviewed. I'd say little to no training needed it's so intuitive. You can add custom fields on the fly, and any field you can see you use in reporting. bdennis@infinisource.com. The reporting that starts Jan 1st 2015 (even though it isn't turned in until 2016) still has to be in place in a few months.
